Hopefully, my experience with them and my own thoughts will help guide you in your decision to purchase the Power Course or not.
Make Your Money Work For You Workbook
This is a very extensive training. It covers everything you can imagine about personal fiance and investing!
- Starts with some of the classic money mindset discussion.
- Talks about how to treat your life like a company – financial statement of income/expenses and risk management.
- Quite mathematical with a ton of calculations. Feels very academic at times which is unusual for trading/investing courses.
- Does a good job introducing beginners to all the financial vehicles like stocks, options and futures.
I put together a quick video summary on this section of the Power Course for you….
Kiana put’s a lot of emphasis on setting goals, calculating what you need to do to achieve them and monitor your progress.
She introduces four financial ratios that are important to successful money management and investing. She gives a lot of spreadsheets etc. so that you don’t have to worry about the math.
I like how she shows you how to tailor everything and compare your goals to age appropriate bench marks.
Financial planning is a central theme. Not just investing!

Kiana addresses a lot of the reasons that people don’t budget or financially plan. She writes about credit scores and retirement etc. Most of this is stuff I already knew about…..but there are some parts that reminded me that I need to protect my wealth more….things like liability insurance and leaving a legacy.
Invest Diva Power Course Review: Investing
A lot of the basics of investing are covered. If you need to learn how to place an order or learn what margin is, you will find this section useful.
Kiana discusses how to figure out your own risk tolerance etc. and how to decide what you want to invest in. She is very detail orientated and makes sure that you include things like inflation into account when planning your investment strategy.
The main theme is deciding risk tolerance and potential rewards.
It is very academic. For example, she discusses using ‘Beta’ as a measure of the risk of a portfolio and expected return. New to me. Good section on calculating expected return. I learned that a stock with Beta = 2 is twice as responsive as the market and Beta = 0 is not affected by the market.
She discusses Modern Portfolio Theory. This section is all about risks that can or can’t be mitigated using techniques such as diversification.
All good stuff!
Something new that I learned…..
A Treasury Bill (T-Bill) is a short-term U.S. government debt obligation backed by the Treasury Department with a maturity of one year or less. Treasury bills are usually sold in denominations of $1,000. … The Treasury Department sells T-Bills during auctions using a competitive and non-competitive bidding process.
Risk free investing.
Good for high income states since you don’t have to pay state income tax on this particular asset.
Tiny return on investment though: $990 to $1000 in 6 months….
Still this is an example of just one of the various topics covered in the section about the pro’s and con’s of different investment vehicles.
